台中是一座由綠帶與河川交織而成的城市，民權派出所座落於梅川綠園道旁，緊鄰串聯國立台灣美術館與台中教育大學的生活動線。因外牆磁磚老化剝落，本次整修除改善安全問題外，更希望讓建築重新融入周邊綠意，展現親民而具活力的城市形象。立面設計呼應前方烏桕樹的樹冠高度與秋季轉黃的色彩，將建築作為綠園道的背景延續；以一樓遮簷為界分為上下兩段，下層整理磁磚與鐵窗，建立清晰水平語彙，上層則以黃色漸層與垂直排列構成，回應樹冠意象。施工上採玻纖網批覆工法覆蓋既有磁磚，在縮短工期與降低干擾的前提下完成更新，使建築在安全改善之餘，也重新與城市景觀對話。

Taichung is a city defined by interconnected green corridors and river systems. Located along the Meichuan Greenway, Minquan Police Station sits within a key pedestrian link between the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts and the Taichung University of Education district. Due to aging exterior tiles, this renovation addressed safety concerns while reestablishing the building’s relationship with the surrounding landscape. The façade draws inspiration from the Chinese tallow trees in front of the site—their canopy height and autumnal yellow tones—allowing the building to act as a subtle backdrop to the greenway. Divided by the first-floor canopy, the lower level reorganizes tiles and security grilles into a clear horizontal expression, while the upper level introduces a vertical yellow gradient echoing the tree canopy. A fiberglass mesh overlay system was applied over the existing tiles to shorten construction time and minimize disruption, enabling the building to renew its civic presence while reconnecting with the urban landscape.
