Huaguan Theater Renovation
輔仁大學華觀劇場
位於輔仁大學舒得樓一樓的「華觀劇場」，前身為理圖劇場。原有的鏡框式舞台已無法支撐日益多元的演出需求。本次改造以「黑盒子劇場」為核心，透過空間整合與翻轉設計，使劇場能支援六種以上的表演形式，並自然融入校園日常，展現嶄新的建築表情。
Located on the first floor of Shude Hall at Fu Jen Catholic University, the “Huaguan Theater” was formerly known as the Litu Theater. Its traditional proscenium stage could no longer meet the growing diversity of performance needs. The renovation transforms the space into a black-box theater, reconfiguring and integrating functions to support more than six types of performances, while seamlessly connecting with campus life and presenting a renewed architectural identity.

我們不僅希望觀眾在進場後才感受到戲劇張力，更思考如何讓劇場自然融入校園日常。設計上，將原本隱藏於建築深處的後場翻轉至臨窗，並透過色彩設計與立面融合，營造如同櫥窗般的視覺效果。當演員進入準備時，表演便已悄然展開，使老舊建築展現出新的活力。
We aimed to create a theater experience that extends beyond the moment audiences enter the hall, allowing it to blend seamlessly into everyday campus life. The original backstage, once hidden deep inside the building, was turned outward to face the campus. With color accents integrated into the window-facing façade, the backstage becomes a “performance showcase.” When actors begin their preparations, the performance has already started—breathing new life into the old building.
